What ever you can do -- or dream you can do -- begin it!
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.
Attributed to Goethe
One of your primary assets in life is a feeling of confidence. It affects the way you think about yourself and the possibilities that confront you.
If you are confident and expect a positive outcome, your intentions will bring energy and add reality to successfully achieving that outcome.
If you expect the client to accept your change order request, he will be more likely to do just that. If you expect your boss to approve your recommendation, she probably will.
We are not talking about a cocky brashness or wishful thinking, but a solid, calm mindset that you can do this.
Your confidence will also empower the people around you, especially those you lead. If you expect them to succeed, they’re more likely to succeed.
That doesn’t mean that your expectations are a substitute for their competence and effort, but it does help others see new options and strive to accomplish them.
As mentioned earlier, trust is the grease that improves their performance and builds confidence.
In short, approaching the job with a confident attitude is a primary factor in being successful.
